About Our Thailand Tours

Whether you are a keen naturalist or simply someone who likes to get away from it in wilderness areas, Wild Watch Thailand has a tour for you. It´s a personalised, quality service, offering the opportunity to journey through the national parks of Thailand alongside naturalist guides and take an in-depth look at the wonders of the country´s tropical forest and beautiful coastal habitats.

All our tours offer wilderness adventures that generates a greater understanding of the ecology of the forests and seas, rather than simple sightseeing. The closed forest typical of much of SE Asia makes viewing of large mammals difficult, so although they´re out there, don´t expect to see tigers and elephants at every turn. In our part of the world the study of these animals involves the investigation and piecing together of a whole range of clues often only visible to the trained eye. Through our programmes, we hope to give you an enjoyable insight into the fascinating world of Thailand´s national parks.

Our Field Staff
Our Field Ecologists lead our tours. They are all English-speaking naturalists with experience in a range of related subjects such as wilderness first aid and navigation to ensure that your trip with us is enjoyable and safe.

Multi-day jungle safaris take a field cook, camp staff and local porters. They cook for you, carry for you and set up the camp, allowing you to relax and enjoy the wonders of the forest. You take only a small day pack which is supplied by us to carry things needed whilst walking such as a rain poncho, water, etc. A full list of the items we recommend to bring is included in your pre-departure pack.

Fitness & Comforts
You don´t need to be a fitness fanatic, but if you´re fit enough for every-day outdoor activities you´ll manage most of our programmes. Our Nature tours are the least demanding, whereas the longer conservation expeditions involve greater exertion and fewer creature comforts. If you have any questions about the physical demands of our programmes, please contact us for advice.

Group Sizes
We limit group sizes for all our programmes in order to ensure a more personalised experience and to minimise environmental impacts. We aim for a maximum of eight people per trip for our Jungle Treks and sixteen people for other trips. Where we have in excess of 8-10 persons, we split the group with one naturalist leading each group.

Travel Arrangements
You will make your own way to the rendezvous point from where we will pick you up and return you at the end of the trip. We are happy to help you with any travel arrangements (private vehicles with drivers, hotels, etc) that are necessary to get you there.

Quality
At Wild Watch, we are committed to providing a quality and professional service to our clients. The company is a fully licensed operator under the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and a member of the Thai Ecotourism and Adventure Travel Association.

Insurance
Although Wild Watch Thailand has accident insurance coverage, anyone joining one of our programmes should have adequate personal insurance against medical and accident risks, evacuation, and repatriation. Wild Watch Thailand will not be responsible for loss or damage to personal possessions, and we also strongly recommend cancellation insurance.
