Day 1: Depart your Bangkok hotel at 6:00 am for the 3 hour tranfer by private vehicle to Khao Yai National Park. Breakfast enroute before going to Khao Khieo Mountain, an area dominated by hill evergreen forest above1,000 m. After lunch, set out on a roadside birding tour in the area of the headquarters and take a short easy walk through the grassland habitats of Nong Phak Chi for birding and on the lookout for some of the other wildllife that inhabits the park. Possible sightings include Wild Dog, Sambar Deer, Stock billed-Kingfisher, Bright-capped Cisticola, Hill Myna and Wreathed Hornbill. After dinner, we head out on a nighttime spotlighting trip on the look out for deer, civet, porcupine, slow loris and possibly elephant.

Day 2: Spend the morning birding in some of Khao Yai’s best evergreen forest. Look out for Red-headed Trogon, Slaty-backed Forktail, Blue Pitta, Greater Flameback, Dusky Broadbill, Banded Broadbill, Blue-winged Leafbird, Green Magpie, White-crested Laughingthrush and many more. Reach the bat cave where you will witness miilions of bats along with the raptors.Back to your resort around 7:00 pm

Day 3: Spend the full morning birding in the outer area of the national park and start driving to Nakhorn Sawan which is the gateway to the northern part. Stop for birding en route. Reach the resort late afternoon, have a short rest and head out for exploring the city. If time permits carry on birding. Have dinner and drive back to the hotel.

Day 4: Today wake up early morning for a half day of birding in the Bung Boraphet area, see some water birds and shoreline species. Have lunch then start driving to Doi Inthanon. Continue your birding trip to the Doi Inthanon National Park. Reach your resort around 7:30. Have dinner and enjoy the evening on your own.

Day 5: Head into the national park for a full day of birding. Start birding on the lower slopes, birds to look out for include wintering species such as Grey Bushchats, Siberian Rubythroats, Buff-throated, Radde´s and Yellow-streaked warblers and a few Little and Chestnut Buntings. Buzzards and occasional, Grey faced Buzzards may also be found. Exit the forest around 6:00 pm for the transfer back to your resort.

Day 6: Today enter the forest and drive up to the highest portion of the park, the summit species include Red-flanked Bluetails, White-tailed and Ashy-throated leaf-wablers, together with wintering Orange-barred leaf-warblers. Flocks of Scarlet Rosefinches are often present and frequently contain occasional surprise visitors, such as the Dark-breasted Rosefinch. Exit the forest around 5:00 pm for the transfer to Chiang Mai. Reach Chiang Mai and head to night bazaar for dinner and to see the handicrafts.

Day 7: Have breakfast at the resort and drive to Doi Suthep to explore the beautiful temple´s following the birding activity in the area. After lunch start driving back to Bangkok.
